Blog Ryan

Dear me,

My name is Ryan and I'm 14 years old. My hobbies are Gaming, Cycling and watching TV.  I have two little sisters named Kaylee and Alycia. I've also got a dog called Jessie. Her breed is Shih-Tzu.

In the first weeks of this new school year, there didn't really change that much compared to last year. It is getting a bit harder, but I think I’ll manage. We do have some new subjects this year: Chemistry, Biology and Physics. Until now, those subjects are easy and funny (I especially enjoy the chemistry labs) but I think they will get far more difficult. The homework and tests keep piling up and it's starting to take me more and more time to finish it.

Last year, I didn't have any trouble with the subjects and I didn't really dislike any of them. I somewhat disliked sports because I wasn't good at it and I thought Greek was a bit boring because it was too easy for me. My favourite subjects were French, Latin, English and Music, Simply because I was pretty good at those. I wasn't THAT good at Music, but I did my best and liked it.

There's one thing I'm really looking forward to. Our class is going to participate in an exchange project with a class in France, so we will stay there for a week, while the others still have school. We're going to visit a lot of tourist attractions like the Mont Saint-Michel and the castle of Fougeres. I haven't talked much with the French boy, so I don't know him that well up till now. I hope I will get to know him better and that we will have a great time.

Oh, not to forget, there are a few things I want you to accomplish, Ryan. I think you should try to get more confident about yourself, stop procrastinating (and maybe try to do better at sports :P)

That's all I've got to say to you (me?) for now, See ya!

14 March, 2013

Dear me,

Remember what I said about the exchange project? Well, it has been a while ago now, but it was amazing. We have seen all sorts of interesting sights in France and we have even been to Paris! The French family was nice too and me and Kyllian had a great time (and also gamed alot :P). It was not easy to talk French all the time though.

As I also mentioned the last time, the homework and tests kept piling up. Well, I absolutely didn't exaggerate. We've been getting A LOT of tests the past few weeks. And that wasn't the only thing we had to do. We also had to make a book report, an interview and a few presentations. But all of that went pretty well.

Oh, and by the way, next week is the test-week, so... Wish me luck !

See ya !
Ryan

18 June, 2013

Dear me,

How's it going? With me, well, it's going fine. Except that I've got to study a lot for the last testweek. I almost couldn't even find enough time to write this!

As I just said, the LAST testweek. That means that the year has come to an end and that this is also my last blogpost. With this, I finish the 'Dear me' project just like we finished the exchange project with the French school 2 weeks ago. The French people came here and we had an amazing time! I'm going to miss them, though...

I guess we can say that this year wasn't that bad... We had a lot of homework, but a lot of cool projects too! We've received an iPad, went to France, made a lot of new friends and overall, had a whale of a time !

But to all good things come an end, so:

See ya Ryan!

Blog Bob W.

Dear me,

You know me, right?

I’m Bob W.  and I’m fourteen years old. I live in Brunssum with my brother, Max and Willem, and my parents. And luckily, my house is only 5 minutes away from school, St. - Janscollege in Hoensbroek.

My hobby is gaming, and because of that I spend a lot of time on my PC and Xbox gaming or just browsing the web. I also love to do stuff with my friends, like watching movies. And last but not least, listening to music is my passion !

I don’t do sports anymore, but I practiced freerun and I played soccer some years ago. I would describe myself as a lazy person, though in the weekends I am very active. I also love food, especially pizza and French fries !

But of course you know me ! It’s you from the past !

This year we will have an exchange project with France. We will go to France for one week in November and they will come to Holland sometime after Easter. I’m also looking forward to using the science lab. Unfortunately, they are renewing it and we have to wait till autumn.

I hope to pass this year with good grades, like a ‘7’ or higher. Because I want to continue my study on gymnasium, although I hate Greek, so I think I’ll choose Latin. I don’t know which subsidiary subject I’m going to choose: Biology or German?

Greeting,

Past you!

13 March, 2013

Hey Bob,

It’s me again. You thought I wouldn’t bother you again, didn’t you?

Well, the exchange project with France was awesome! We visited a lot of fun things, like Mont Saint Michel (an abbey in the middle of a lake), Rennes and Saint-Malo. On our way back we also visited the coasts of Normandy (Point du Hoc) and the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, which was very impressive! Long story short: it was an once-in-a-lifetime experience!

And the science labs you were talking about? Those are also very cool; it’s much more fun than learning from a book! We have already done various things, ranging from turning on a burner to “paper chromatography.”

Oh, and my grades? Well, they are very good! At least, I am happy with them. All in all, I don’t have any sixes or lower! And I think I made my choice about the subjects I was talking about; I think I will choose ‘NT’ with Latin and German as subsidiary subjects. But I need to think about that. Will you tell me next time?

Greeting,

Your past self!

Dear me,

It’s me again for the third (and last) time. After this letter I won’t bother you again, future me ;)

Everything is going well, although we have a testweek coming up. We have a lot of test from the 14th of June till the 21th of June. Luckily my birthday, the 2nd of July, is only 3 weeks away from now. My grades are good and I kept my promise that I made in my first letter: All my points are (rounded) a ‘7’ or higher! As for the subjects: I chose ‘NT’, with lots of math, science and physics. The language I chose is Latin and my subsidiary subject is Biology, which ‘upgrades’ me to ‘NT’ + ‘NG’.

One week ago our French correspondents came to Holland and we had a lot of fun. We went to Maastricht and Amsterdam; we went swimming and bowling, and so on. The last evening we had a party and the 7th of June the French left again.

Looking back at this year I had a great time. I had a lot of fun with my friends; we worked with the iPad for another year; we had the exchange with France, and much much more. Next year our class will split up, which is something I really don’t like. The last two years our class consisted of mostly the same people and everybody’s used to that. In our class everyone is very friendly and you can count on all of them. I’m kinda going to miss my class, actually…

Well it’s time for me to go now.
I hope you enjoyed my letters, future me!

Your past self!

Blog Bob T.

Dear me,

Hello everybody !

Me,
I’m Bob T. and I’m 15 years old. I was born in Sittard, I’m living the life in Amstenrade J.

Internet isn’t something what I can miss, I just can’t live without it, but I think every student can’t. I also participate in social media, facebook, twitter, skype and MSN are things that I use for social media.

Sleep,
I just really love sleeping all day, it’s just chilling and relaxing. When I try to sleep, I’m listening to music, I like listening to music before I go to sleep.

This was me in a few words,

Dear me,

It's me again, Bob T, but I have a boring life, so don't expect an awesome story because you aren't going to get one :p.

My class and I went on an exchange to France, it was a fun time. First we went to Paris, after that we went to Bretagne and we did al kind of things. It was an awesome time.

After that we had an testweek and now, now we are here, in class, ready for next testweek.

So yeah, that is that,

See ya

22 June, 2013

Hello,

Bob is here again,

It has been a long long time since we began with the iPad, two years from now.. Time goes fast..

Anyway, we received the message that we can keep the iPad, we can take it with us to 4 VWO, that's just awesome :D.

I have learned a lot this year with the iPad, we have done a lot of projects and I think it was much more fun than doing grammar in class. We have done a project, where you had to make a booktrailer, after you had read the book of course.

But we were not only at school, remember? The exchange with France? They came back and we had a lot of fun, so we went climbing, bowling, swimming, we had a disconight, and much more.

So we had a good time, yeah, you can see that.

It wasn't a bad year, although we have had a lot of homework, but also nice projects,

Well I guess that I'll see you again,

Bye,

Bob T.
